"Why breathe if you have nothing to fucking say?.."

Day 9 nom-nooooms

Alright so vocals are totally done, we're adding one last guitar part and then we start mixin this ma facker. We got Topcat comin in tomorrow, he's a badass street saxaphone player that we're having do some improv for one of the tracks. I've been getting pretty lethargic over the past week so I know my blog entrees have been getting shorter and shorter. Sorry? No, fuck that. And fuck you. Because you have a mullet, and mullets are awesome. And I like cheese. No I don't. Because I'm vegan, and vegans don't have mullets. Except maybe a few of them. Er, us. Which is awesome. Like cheese. No, it's not. See, lethargic. Wes likes cheese. He's not a vegan. He doesn't have a mullet either. Cock sauce.

Groundhog's Day

Day in day out here...feels much like the movie "Groundhog's Day"..minus waking up to "I got you babe"...but we're in here again, finishing up some vocals, doing some noisey parts, touching up some shit, and gettin' on with it. We're having some more additional musicians come in today to give some extra flavor. I'll talk to y'all later. k? bye.

fuckin-a-right-mommy thats a hot record

so Wes is a fucking champ, we got 6 songs done today. He fuckin belted out these songs with a demonic possession....or something evil like that...it went very very well. We also just finished some of our drum circle tracks, we had a few friends come in and jam along to one of the empathic parts....You guys...I'm telling you...this record is going to trip you all the fuck out, its wayyyyyyyyyy different, and it won't dissapoint any of you, it's been a long time for this record to be made and it's ALMOST here, I can't wait to get it out. Only a couple more days....the final stretch is on the horizon.

Day 8

So 99% of the instrumentation is done. We have amazing tones coming from this studio. I'm so fucking anxious for this record to come out. We've moved onto vocals right now. So far we've knocked out "the spark of divinity" and "dave mustaine", and it sounds infinitly better than the previous recordings. Maybe playing the songs for years and years have definetly made it slightly more seasoned. We're trying to work really efficiently right now, it's kind of crunch time. We can see the finish line, we just have to run harder. And Wes's lyrics to this album are amazing. I say that without any nepotism, he's definetly stepped up his game, he'll post some writings in the near future and you'll know exactly what I'm talking about. k? bye

Day 7:...............Day 7....

FUCKFUCKFUCKFUCKFUCKFUCKFUUUUUUUUUUUUCKFUCKFUCKFUCKFUCKFUCUFUCKKFUCKFUCUCKFUhi. So we finished up bass today. Right now we're just working on some additional guitar parts and then we're on to vocals. Shits comin along man, seriously. The end of the album is so nuts Wes and I laughed hysterically the first time we heard it on record, and its not even finished. We've also been planning our Summer tour, we're trying to cover all major areas, so that you can't have an excuse to not see us ;)... Anyways here's some more pics:

Week 2

So we're back.... Ozium is really fucking strong......my eyes are burning..... So today we're gonna knock out some more guitar, then on to bass. We've switched amps, Before we were using a Hughes and Kittner with a Gibson SG for our chunkier stuff, and now we've got an Orange stack with a Telecaster, sounds very Led Zep. We'll post a blog covering all of the gear we've used for this record for any gear-heads who read this thing. I'll post more later.

Day 5: "Bomb Sauce"

So, were in this cave for the 5th day, got a week to go, then we'll have ourselves a finished little compact disc for tunage for ya. We are sans Bobby today, as Jeremy and I track all second guitars and eventually moving to bass. The guitar tone we have is almost TO fucking good. Sam did his research and got the heavy tone we have craved. Not METAL, just HEAVY as hell. Crystal fucking clear.

Anyways, we're working on the Empathic tracks right now. I just did the 2nd geetarz on Part 2, while Jeremy is now working on Part 1. We should be done with all of them soon..

(2 hours later..)

So Empathic is done, we're on to the re-recording of Dave Mustaine (yes, the secret is out, we are re-recording the track named after that lovable character with bright red lava hair). It sounds a lot more in the direction we wanted to, originally.

We should be moving to bass soon, getting a couple noise parts out of the way. Having fun with a few vintage, maniacal sounding pedals. Its helping the songs sound incredibly evil... WOODOO METAL!..

Ill be posting pictures soon, so keep checking back. Love ya mean it.

Day 4: OH MY GAAAAHHHHD OH MY GAAAAAHHHDDD

So today we start tracking guitars. We're trying to get everything right with what guitars and amps we wanna use for different songs and parts... lotsa options in this hurr studio. We gots an Orange halfstack, which Wes seems particularly excited about cause it's got that infamous Brit-rock tone that he was wanting to use on a few tracks, we got a Hughes & Kettner that we'll probably be using on the majority of the tracks, we've got an array of guitars, and an engineer that likes to watch youtube videos of dudes rippin bongloads (Disclaimer: No one in name smokes weed, but FUCK if we don't have a lot of pothead friends).

-Bobby

(2 hours later...) The guitar tone is rediculous. Rediculous.
